Fall Produce Market
As the mountain air turns chilly, our greenhouses are still growing fresh organic produce here at Ballerina Farm. Join us for a Fall Produce Market at our Kamas and Midway stores on November 6-7, a weekend for meeting the season’s harvest up close. We’ll be on hand to share how greens and root vegetables thrive through the colder months, and to introduce a few you may not have cooked with yet, like the sweet, tender hakurei turnip.
Produce boxes can be pre-ordered online or gathered in person while they last. Each one comes with recipe cards and a little secret: our new tallow tin, tucked inside ten days before anyone else gets to see it. We’ll be serving protein steamers and pie samples all day long. This is the beginning of year-round produce from our market garden, and we’re so excited to be growing certified organic vegetables for our community.

HERD x Ballerina Farm Knitting Workshop
Join us for a sock knitting workshop, led by Ruth from HERD, and nourished with warm drinks, pastries, and plenty of good wool. Pull up a chair and a pair of knitting needles and enjoy connecting with Ruth and other knitters. Ruth will share the story behind her wool, grown from Bluefaced Leicester sheep in the north of England and offer knitting tips. Each knitter takes home three balls of HERD wool and a printed pattern booklet, tucked into a cotton drawstring bag. Feel free to bring your own needles, size US 6 (4mm) and 4 (3.5mm), or purchase a pair at the workshop.

HERD Pastry Showcase
Ballerina Farm warmly welcomes HERD, the British wool house founded by Ruth Alice Rands. We raise cows in the mountains of Utah. HERD spins yarn from Bluefaced Leicester sheep in the hills of northern England. While we may be an ocean apart, we share a vision of how we can honor the whole animal, keep products and processes close to the land, and care for every hand along the way.
We are so excited to introduce you to HERD at our Midway Farm Store, November 12–14. Our chefs collaborated with Ruth on a pastry case with delicious goods, served from 9am until the last crumb. Dairy Farm Tours
We have officially opened the doors of Ballerina Farm’s Dairy to the public! Join us for a guided tour to explore the pastures, meet the cows, and see the daily work that keeps the Farm thriving. This is a unique opportunity to slow down, ask questions, and experience firsthand the care, craft, and simple joys of life on the Farm.
Children under 10 are admitted free, and every guest will receive a Ballerina Farm beverage to enjoy on-site after the tour or take home!
Tours last 45–60 minutes.
