Statement on Raw Milk Sales

Ballerina Farm is a family-run brand nestled in the fertile mountain valley of Kamas, Utah. We deeply care about the Ballerina Farm products our customers consume and share with family and friends. We are committed to transparency, food safety, and responsible stewardship in all of our agricultural practices, and we are sharing the following statement to clarify questions regarding raw milk sales associated with our farm.

Producing and selling raw milk in Utah carries significant responsibility and is subject to strict state regulation. The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food oversees raw milk production and sales, including requirements for regular testing, routine inspections, and compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.

During the period in which Ballerina Farm sold raw milk, it passed the state’s required testing. Additionally, Ballerina Farm never recalled any product, including its raw milk. Raw milk that did not meet regulatory or industry standards was not sold and responsibly disposed of. Due to regulatory requirements, operational complexity, and economic considerations, we transitioned from selling raw milk to exclusively offering pasteurized milk on August 11th, 2025.

Ballerina Farm remains deeply committed to producing high-quality, safe, and nourishing food for people in all walks of life. All of our products—including Farmer Protein—are made with pasteurized milk. We partner with dairies we respect and trust to meet growing customer demand, while our own small dairy continues to provide low-temperature, vat-pasteurized milk for in-store products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream. Currently, customers can visit our two brick and mortar locations in Midway and Kamas, Utah, to enjoy the products created from the milk produced at our dairy along with an array of other carefully selected and curated goods.

We take great care in creating thoughtful products made with carefully sourced, quality ingredients. While as a company we appreciate raw milk, the consumption of raw foods, including dairy, may carry certain health risks that vary by individual and product. We encourage individuals to consult with a trusted healthcare professional to determine what is right for them. Transparency and responsibility remain central to our approach, and we take every precaution to ensure the food we offer meets the highest standards of safety and care.
