Ingredients
- 8 Ballerina Farm bratwurst (fully cooked)
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup Ballerina Farm high protein farm flour
- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 1/2 tsp Ballerina Farm coarse grey french salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Dash of ground cloves
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- Avocado oil for frying (or any high smoke point oil)
Directions
- Whisk together all ingredients and pour into a tall glass
- Put a wooden skewer length-wise through the fully-cooked bratwurst
- Coat the bratwurst with flour (helps batter adhere to the brat)
- Dip into the batter and place in preheated oil.
- Cook until dark golden and enjoy with fresh honey.
