It's the perfect salt for use in our sourdough recipe, as the large grains integrate quickly and evenly as you knead your delicious dough. Adding coarse salt to cooking water also prevents minerals from escaping and its use in brines and marinades adds tenderness. Ideal for dry salting and pickling, it takes the edge off of vegetables like eggplant and cucumber and preserves the vibrant orange in carrots.
