Ingredients
- 1 pack Ballerina Farm Bacon
- 1 medium cabbage, cored and sliced into thin strips
- 2 cups chicken broth, water also works just fine
- Ballerina Farm Black Pepper & French Salt to taste
- Optional: 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
Directions
- Place a large stockpot over medium heat.
- Cut the bacon strips into 4 pieces each. Cook until the bacon is cooked, but not fully crispy. Remove half of the rendered grease from the pot.
- In the same pan, add the cabbage, chicken broth or water, and mustard seeds if you have. They will add a nice kick and bite.
- Stir everything well, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the thickest parts of the cabbage are tender.
- Taste, then season with Ballerina Farm Black Pepper & French Salt.
- Top off with a tablespoon of butter.
